Have Youth revolt latest "really start in the 1960s, or does it come sooner? I had this issue after hearing the words "on, under, Sideways, Down" by the Yardbirds.
Then, I remember an old news made by Thomas Edison as
Back in the 1890s. She showed a group of teenagers at Coney Island.
They do not strike me as a lot different from any other generation.
Someone could write a book about it and I'm sure someone has, but the 60's hippies were appointed by the beatniks of the 50s who came after the 40s, swing (not that kind of swing) lol and the dampers in the 20s (time-out), whose parents were in the 1890s gay (not that kind of gay) lol. Before, it was the bohemian Paris. See the movie Moulin Rouge. Before the Gothic period (not. .. ok, you get the idea) with romantic poetry and spooky tales. (Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Vampire book, I do not remember the writer) that was before the Renaissance. I bet that even Christians have probably been a revolt of youth.
First, I remember reading about in the 1920s. They called on women who wear shorter dresses (always below the knee but above the ankle) valves because of the way his clothes flap when they danced. From there seems to be every 20-25 years there was a "new" revolution of the young age peaking in the years 1960-1970. In comparison, a revolution in the 1990s and early 2000 seemed small with technology being the driving force.
Search History (Ancient Greece, etc.) young people have always rejected boundrys. It is the duty of each new generation to question and experiment.
