How can I convince my parents to let me have a dog? I did things without asking. The money, have lots of free time, I am in class honor, and a lot of research. And no one I know has a dog. Except for my parents. They had in their childhood. And you know I have been begging for 9 years now, and the only thing I do at night is cry myself to sleep thinking that my parents make excuses for me to do more now dog . Please no mean answers. I do not know what to do ...
Ask if you can have something smaller like a pig or a rabbit Guinea. Take care of it on your own, feed and clean everything you do then it will show your parents that you are responsible enough to have a dog. If it works, then make sure to feed it, walk it, clean and care for a dog breed it.Get nice, if you go hunting, then a dog will be suitable for you. If you want to cuddle it get a Labrador puppy or something nice and sweet. Hopefully this helps.Bye
Tell them you'll do all the work and take care of
As the dog tthat you teach responsibility and respect .. themthat that u would clean up after and give all the stuff he needs and you will pay for all of its .. food and toys and all that .. orders and if you have all ready get a job ..
Do not worry, maybe there's a reason why you can not have a dog. Show your parents that you are responsible and may help an animal shelter on weekends where there are many dogs that have just been abandoned and need care and assistance.
Have you told your parents that you can be responsible and you have duties in this regard. It does not hurt to tell them that you will feed him and take it out for walks and train. If all else fails try again does not give her up.
perhaps your little brother your parents think a dog would be too much to handle both print all your research and do a PowerPoint presentation for the pros and cons of having a dog food that is good Veterinarians toys beds bowls, and kennel fees for the holidays and leave lying around and maybe they will read it is worth trying
Well, I remember when I was younger who want a dog. When my parents rejected the idea, I stopped to talk to them for a week unless we were talking about dogs. This led my father crazy lol. He used to storm in and very angry ... but they gave after a week of hell. Probably not a good idea. But thats how I did it.
You can not. They said no for a reason. Find out what it is and then accept it.
There is more to have a dog to take him for walks and pick up is crap. Maybe they think you're not ready, physically and mentally, but you can show them that you're mentally ready to discover why they say no and then ask them to stop.
I suggest you find a shelter for dogs and volunteer there, then at least you can see what is really involved in keeping a dog, not just the time commitment, but also costs.
You can also ask another animal, maybe a gerbil or hamster. Once you show that you are good at cleaning and looking after, so maybe they will consider it.
Good luck
Your parents do not seem to want a dog and you must renounce. Even if you propose to care, ultimately it will be the responsibility of your parents financially. What happens when you go to university? Dogs lives 12-15 years, so you'll take with you? I doubt your parents will be happy to keep it. I recommend following the advice of your parents at that stage.
Give it up. Your parents obviously do not want to face the burden and responsibility of a pet. I know you take care of him .. but when you're in school or on class trips, a person must take care of the dog. Dogs are also a lot of money to take care of (I easily spend $ 100-200 per month on my dog alon.
