Do you know how sleep apnea occurs? It is a type of sleep problem with snoring. It is so common, but the victims do not know the severity of its problems. It is caused by limited amount of oxygen in the brain of the patient or, sometimes, he can stop breathing for a few seconds. For him to breathe normal again, he must wake up. This can occur several times in one night. It can occur when the muscles of his throat relax and the airways become tight.

The signals sent to control our breathing is controlled by our brain. The type of sleep apnea, we are facing now stopped on the signals sent by the brain to control our breathing. In this case, the person wakes up for some time because of the shortage of oxygen. This process is repeated for many times in one night. It is also common for some patients to sleep apnea because of lack of oxygen and the tightening of throat muscles.

There are treatments for sleep apnea, and a doctor may suggest a sleep apnea machine that will help the patient through the night.

What is a sleep apnea machine?

Sleep apnea, first causes patients to suffer from lack of sleep. Therefore, the doctor usually recommends a sleep apnea machine. The most common type that are used for this purpose is a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure, which is a great machine sleep apnea. A mask is placed over the nose, so when the patient is asleep oxygen is pumped steadily through the mask.

Another type of treatment of sleep apnea is a device orally that is built to fit into the mouth of a patient who pulls the jaw forward and prevents re-closing of the throat. This type of device is smaller and easier to use than the machine from sleep apnea more but it may take some trial and error to get it running properly.

Do not using the device for sleep apnea which is recommended by your doctor if you are not comfortable to use. What you should do is consult your doctor and inform him of your problem using the device, but does not stop. It can be treated, but be patient, if all non-surgical means that surgery can be your other option.

Proper treatment for a patient suffering from sleep apnea, a serious illness can be studied after it has been reviewed by a physician.
