Strangeness, TheGet ready for a trip with Passing Strange on Broadway!
The show Passing Strange on Broadway first appeared before the audience at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, located in Berkeley, California, in October 2006. The following year, May to June, it was shown at the Public Theatre in New York City. Now, in 2008, the show has had its previews in February at Belasco Theatre on Broadway.

"Passing Strange" is the story of a young black musician who is suffocated under the environment of the middle class, the church continues in South Central Los Angeles. He wants to breathe life freely. He rebelled against his mother and embarks on a journey. It falls on the corner of Amsterdam immoral. Here he falls into the trap of drugs and sex. From there he reached the upheaval, artistic, and political society in Berlin, where it is a struggle to ethics and honesty. While the middle class he represents, its origin is poor.

The entire story is woven around the adventures of this musician, who goes from place to place in a foreign land. He also took different musical styles from blues, jazz, rock. Finally, he returns home.

Stew wrote the book, written by the lyrics and composed the music for the Broadway show. His musical partner Heidi Rodewald has also contributed to the beautiful music of this show. Annie Dorsen has contributed to management. Elizabeth Ireland McCann, The Shubert Organization Inc., and the Public Theatre produced the show together. The original was done by the Public Theater and Berkeley Repertory. Karole Armitage has given a gorgeous choreography, while the scenes are designed by David Korin. The effects of light are given by Devin Adams and costumes are designed by Elizabeth Hope Clancy.

The Broadway show Passing Strange is the first musical by Stew and Heidi Rodewald. The show is known for its Afro-baroque sound that has been patented by the duo in 2000, when the group was formed stew. The group won two awards for Album of the Year by Entertainment Weekly for his wonderful "The Naked Dutch Painter" and "Guest Host".

The original cast includes Rebecca Naomi Jones, Daniel Breaker, de'Adre Aziza, Eisa Davis, Chad Goodridge, Colman Domingo, and the stew itself. A band of skilled musicians joins the cast of stars on stage. The musicians are co-creator Heidi Rodewald, Stew, Christian Cassan, Jon Spurney, Christian Gibbs.

The Broadway musical Passing Strange contains some of the most melodious tunes that seem to come straight from the heart of the composers. Intelligence drip and the lyrics make you sit and think.
