Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

I discovered that Anakin is supposed to be 9 in the film, but Padme seems to be much older than him. In fact Natalie Portman is actually nine years older than the actor who played Anakin in the film.

Padme is 14 years old in Episode I
Anakin is 9 years old in Episode I

In Episode II, 10 years later:
Padme is 24
Anakin is 19
Actors Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen were the same age, they were both 19 years old during filming.

In Episode III, 3 years later
Padme is 27
Anakin is 22
The actors were both 22 at the time of filming.
