The history of Star Trek

Gene Roddenberry in 1964, a former sergeant of police in Los Angeles, has created Star Trek. Roddenberry is a fan of life-long science-fiction, which led him to propose his idea to the studios, making Star Trek a cross between Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers.

His vision was composed of a multi-cultural aboard a spaceship innovative and futuristic, exploring distant galaxies both for peaceful and scientific purposes. The audience just loved it and NBC held a second driver to changes in the crew. Other crew members quickly became favorites among fans, as Montgomery Scott and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy, the ship's doctor.

Star Trek has lasted three seasons on television, from 1966 until 1969. The popularity of Star Trek has been simply extraordinary. In the mid-1970s, the adventures of the crew continued the form of animation. There were a total of twenty-two episodes of animated television series produced shows and most original actors provided the voices for the characters in these episodes.

He also brought a lot of money in the '70s with the production of Star Trek character images, logos, posters, lunchboxes, t-shirts and figurines produced by Mego, a manufacturer of toys. There was even a book of Star Trek fans to follow the comic adventures, and taking time off to watch television, they could still follow the adventures of the crew. From a TV series of short but highly acclaimed, Star Trek has become a huge success phenomenal.

In 1979, Paramount released Star Trek The Motion Picture, which immediately became a successful film. Shortly after, six more films were produced from 1979 to 1991, starting with the original crew.

Star Trek, the next generation has raced to success and is considered the leader in the ratings, licensing, merchandising and demographics. The award winning show with each advertiser demographics dreams and inspiring products to almost one billion dollars in retail sales has attracted a wide range of high-caliber guest stars and a film that was Smash Star Trek Next Generation of impact.

As in past years, captivating Roddenberry's vision of the future turned out to be a timeless appeal to people of all ages where, after 25 years, a new vision of Star Trek wowed fans worldwide. Network to syndication, television film, the franchise has received one of the following most dedicated and loyal in the history of entertainment.
