Parkview High School is won by Ethan Kasson, Julian Vann, Taron Squires, Davin Nash and Sean Stephenson and rode a group of depth in other events to dominate the competition and win in 2009 Georgia 5A Boys State Track Championship.

Kasson won the 400, triple jump Vann and Parkview took the 4 x 400 relay as Mill Creek had to settle for second place with 39 points in Parkview 80.

In 4A competition, Kenneth Gilstrap won the 100 and 200 and was among four winners x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams that Miller Grove High School has won the title with 71 points Alexander 59. Not to be outdone, Stephen Hill added a victory in both the 300 hurdles and soared under the long jump with a jump of 28 to 08.75. Hill's jump becomes the best performance in preparation for the United States this season.

Sir Paul Jones doubled in the 110 and 300 hurdles to lead Monroe to 3A title over Elbert County, 57-45.

Westlake easily won the girls 5A title over runner-up Collins Hill, 65-48. Westlake Zahra Thomas won the 400 in 55.34, Aubrielle Wright won the 800, Shani Chandler won the 300 meter hurdles, and Westlake took the 4 x 100 (with Thomas Lawson Kinsley, Aminah Blount and Davita Washington ) and 4 x 400 relay (with Thomas, Blount, Wright and Chandler).

5A rival Chalonda Goodman of Newnan doubled in the 100 and 200, but has not exceeded his time leading nationally in the 100 (11.30) and 200 (23.32). 5A competitor Amanda Winslow of Collins Hill doubled in 1600 (4:44.97) and 3200 (10:42.70). Winslow 4:44.97 time leads all riders nationally in the 1600s.

Kia Jackson doubled in the 100 and 200, and Morgan Snow won the 100 hurdles to lead Southwest DeKalb girls 4A title over Starr Mill, 61-54.

Monroe used LaKeisha Jackson wins the 100m hurdles, Mimieux Land in the high jump, the 4 x 100 relay team (Jackson, Land, and Kenza Alanesha McFarland Bailey) to survive in Tours, 51-46, to win the 3A championship.

Brittany Porter towers doubled in the long jump and triple jump. Porter is the top nation in preparation for the long jump with a leap of 20-03 and made another leap of 21 to 03.5.

In the finals boys 2A, Westminster fled runner-up Mitchell County 62-46 to win the championship with the individual winners Maalik Reynolds in the high jump and Joel LB in the disk, and a certain depth at which a large number of points that kept the bill.

Warren County outperformed finalist in Athens Christian 70.5 to 59 to win the 1A boys like Warren County Coby Reynolds doubled in the 100 and 200, then the anchor team winning 4 x 100 relay Kentrell Latimore, Andrew Webb Antonio Benton.

One of the best performances of the day was by Raymond Higgs Athens Christian who personally scored 30 Athens Christian 59 points in winning the high jump with a jump of 7 to 25.2 remarkable (the best of the day between all divisions), winning the long jump (24-04) and triple jump (48-01).

Among the winning teams of boys, it was both Westminster and the Warren County 3rd state title. For children new to the block-Parkview, Miller Grove and Monroe, it was their first title ever. Legendary programs Carrollton boys, with 24 state titles, and those with a more recent successes such as Landmark Christian with seven straight titles, has had a tremendous success, but not this year.

The race for the title in the Girls Division 2A was closest to the day of the Great Atlanta Christian 49 points was enough to survive in Jordan and the team from Decatur, who both scored 46 to tie for second place . Greater Atlanta Christian rose to their championship Lauren Kester 3200 winner and victories on the field by Jessica Tuggle the triple jump and pole vault Claire Goodson.

Wesleyan amassed 83 points to run AWA.
