25 things that have killed (and still killing) Urban Music

In the middle of each of the statements that "Hip Hop is Dead" we somehow forgot the slow death that pervades all aspects of "urban" music, the legacy of Soul and its close cousins has degenerated into a seething mass commercialization, homogenization, thuggification and general laziness.
