For those visiting families, Gateway Park Fun Center gives you a chance to play miniature golf in a course of eighteen holes, go-kart on the track the longest of its kind in Colorado, practice your baseball batting cages and when you just want to stand still, a video arcade is also available.

Boulder has also placed his name among the Hollywood stars, welcoming the setting for the novel by Stephen King The Stand (1978), where he lived very close to a year in 1974 and wrote his famous horror, The Shining ( 1977). For those who remember the old American sitcom Mork and Mindy (1978-1982), they will be happy to learn that Mindy's house is actually in Boulder and visits are encouraged. The University of Colorado at Boulder is in South Park on numerous occasions that the creators of the show were students of the university.

If you want to do some shopping during your vacation Pearl Street Mall is your best option. It has many shops and restaurants to suit all tastes. During weekends and summer, some live acts and small temporary stands selling local conservation and trinkets can be seen through the mall. If your interest is in skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling, and winter is the best time to visit. However, for activities such as hiking holidaymakers, rafting and mountain biking are available.
