On Golden Pond

I just bought a baby turtle Asian Golden Pond from a local breeder for a private pet for my daughter. They have many species of turtles, but told me that Asians are more scarce and many are sold and consumed in Asian markets faster than we can even identify them. Basically, he said they believe that eating turtle extends your life and that many species have become rare because of that.
