Never On Sunday

Never On SundayIf we celebrate the birth of Christ Dec. 25 on Easter Sunday why not on the same date each year?

Regardless of the Christmas Day is always December 25 as we know, but why on Easter Sunday at the same date each year?

When Europe was Christianized, they could not prevent the people celebrated the holiday ones. Instead, they gave them new meanings. If we had created different oldest festivals still celebrated was in the background, and their meaning pagan mind.
The ancient Germanic festival, Yule became Christmas, the birth of Christ. The ancient Germanic festival of Easter, dedicated to the goddess Eostre, became a celebration of the Crucifixion and Resurrection. The Last Supper was Passover, Easter in October, will understand that this is not the right time of year.

Yule has always been celebrated on the 25th (give or take a few days depending on the region) and Easter was celebrated according to the moon.

The new church could not eradicate the old customs, or, the people would have ignored and turned away from the church. People gave each other presents and feasted and establish branches of holly and decorated their houses at Christmas, well before the Christians came. Easter is a celebration of new life, and it is from old traditions, we get the Easter bunny, eggs, and in some places, rolling cheese, among other things. Almost every Easter or Christmas custom is older than Jesus.

Good question. Never thought of that. I do not know why but I suspect that the Church has something to do with it. Sorry.

In Western Christianity, Easter always falls on a Sunday from March 22 to April 25 inclusive. The next day, Easter Monday is a holiday in many countries with predominantly Christian traditions. In Eastern Christianity, Easter falls between April 4 and May 8 between 1900 and 2100 according to the Gregorian date

Because of a date (Christmas) is fixed, as you say, and Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring. As the phases of the moon does not change as the date of Easter

To do this with the celebration of the season and the Sabbath and the rest rather than a single event. Easter eggs could be made on Sunday, due to old technology chocolate.

because they do not really know the date of one of them if they just took one day be used to celebrate each of them. Christmas has replaced a pagan holiday so that when people converted, they would not lose your winter vacation. It is therefore the same date each year. I mean with Christ is born during the summer and every December 25 since many do not anyway.

The celebration of Easter was decided by someone else and put it on a Sunday since Sunday is a day of worship anyway.

Easter is regulated by the full moon and therefore it is not a fixed date

Jesus was not born on December 25, in fact, it was not even born in December. There were shepherds watching their sheep at night, when they saw the star over Bethlehem, December is too cold there for that, it was probably time in October or earlier. Also, if you read the Bible, Jesus asks people not to celebrate his birth, but remember that his death and why he died. Christmas Day is something pagan compound and now the media has cashed in on this great time to make money, it has nothing to do with Jesus or religion.

Because the church the day fixed for Christ and the Mass of Easter is a celebration, not only based on years of Christian celebration, both Western and Easter, but also on mobile Passover (Passover) and the pagan festival of Eostre (probably where the name comes from) which has been celebrated on the basis of the phases of the moon, and therefore changeable. In many Christian countries, Easter is the most impo.
