Marketplace | Lawrence Of Arabia Who was Lawrence of Arabia? TE Lawrence was born August 16, 1888, his father was on the seventh Baronet of Westmeath in Ireland. He studied at Oxford City High School for Boys and at Jesus College, Oxford. In the summer of 1909 he went on three months of walking tour of crusader castles in Syria who provided research for his honors thesis class first the influence of the Crusades on military architecture - the late twelfth century.
