God is the spirit of a sheep in the kingdom of heaven? If God gave us free will, but only select people who blindly follow the Bible, even when it goes against the evidence of nature.
Why bother to have free will.
Blindly follow something reduces a person to a non-thinking robots, Christians prefer the term sheep.
Free - noun
the power to act without the constraint of necessity or fate;
He gave us the thumbs, so we carved clubs and fight our brothers
Speaking just for me a friend, I do not "blindly" followed by nothing. The Bible does not go against any form of evidence natural world that I am aware, and for the spirit that God wants us to have ... "Be wise as serpents but harmless as a dove".
Thank you for asking neighbor.
No, God wants us to challenge our faith, ask questions and seek our own conclusions. Yes, there are many "Christians" who follow blindly, but we are called to make our own decisions. There are plenty of "evidence" is on the existence of Jesus and his divine nature. But, as with any spiritual matter, it reaches a point where it can be proven and is the point. That's where faith comes in and either you, or you do not. It does not want to believe or just after the crowd .. is supposed to be a difficult road. Obviously, we have free will, since you can choose to believe or not believe. So the question is, what do you have to lose unbiased consider the possibility that Jesus is the Messiah? Why would God accept those in the sky that openly rejected and denied on Earth?
You have free will to determine if you want to kick against something that will destroy you and rest in the finished work of a Saviour, your choice.
Do what you want, I'm happy to say, "Bah bah!
If God had forced everyone to love, would we really love? You can not love something unless you can hate it as well. God gave us the power of free will so that we can choose to accept or reject.
Christians refer to believers as sheep in the sense that God is our shepherd, prevents us from going astray.
Obviously, this is what God wants to surround himself.
Gross .....
Jesus Christ did not blindly follow the will of his father when he went to the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, He is happy that he loves you and I have a free will to choose eternal life for ourselves by accepting the sacrifice and live for Him. He paid the debt he was not, we had a debt we could not pay. I am a sheep "following my Savior, not a follower of a wolf in sheep's clothing walked into the darkness. Walking with the Lord for 33 years now and always happy to be called a sheep "by the shepherd. Taste and see that the Lord is my good friend.
Most Christians have had experiences with the living God, so there is no such thing as blind faith. God chooses to work in a persons life, but with faith that is supported by actual experiences with him. Part of faith is believing in his promises for the future.
FREE will to choose right from wrong. Why try to make it more complicated then that?
We are not supposed to blindly follow the Bible. We are supposed to study and practice his teachings. When you follow the system for us in the Bible, God will show us. We do not blindly follow anything.
