When is it ethical / legal to kill your commanding officer? If you know he rushes into an ambush? To protect your platoon or company? Also, if you could cite the UCMJ or other official documents that I appreciate.

It would only be legal - in the British armed forces - in self defense or defense of another person against the unlawful lethal force. For example, if the captain had pointed a gun at you or anyone other than an enemy combatant, and looked around to use it, and even then only if there was no other way conquer or stop.

On the other hand, it may be lawful arrest of an officer commanding, very, very rarely.

theres premeditated murder and theres self-defense.

now in self-defense, it is not allowed, but less likely to be thrown in a cell.

my ex told me that the unit is correct that if the commanders were captured or recruited with the guys in his unit woman, they kill. but I'm not sure about that.

just use PTSD as an excuse when you get arrested!
