say you have steel beams that you will use to build with. If the beams can withstand 200,000 pounds per square inch or more, you use them if they are not, then you will reject the lot. you take samples and test. how to set up the event .....

and we know from the statement that we have a test line if the null hypothesis and the alternative will be inequalities, not equalities.

If you have evidence to reject the null then you conclude the alternate is true and that you will not use the beams because they can not handle the load. However, if you fail to reject the null hypothesis you can not conclude the null is true, only that it is plausible, it is plausible, the rays of the burden, again, you do not use beams. This test was useless, you have nothing useful.

Let's look at how others set up the hypothesis:

Alternative: μ> 200,000

here if you can not reject the null hypothesis is plausible the beams do not support the load so that you do not use them. If you do not reject the null hypothesis, then the conclusion is that the alternate is true and beams support the load, so that you can use the beams. In this test you gained something useful.
