Repression by the humiliation? I watched Dr. Phil today, and there was a guest on his show who was a judge. And it would penalize offenders by signs and permanent public indicating that they have done wrong. A couple of young spray painted '666 'on a Nativity in the courtyard of someone. And was sentenced to walk a donkey with a sign on the animal, saying something to the effect that they were "sorry for the jackasses'...( lanuage, I did not compose it. ) But these people do not have a criminal record, do not go to jail and / or imprisonment. Some went to college and never broke another law. Tell me what you think? Is it the humiliation of a good method to prevent crime?
You can read more with these two links: Be honest, and I think about it? Do you prefer your child and humiliated to learn their lesson or go to jail and be a repeat offender? Do you think prison is the best?

I think it's a great idea and creative, the more likely it saves money because you do not pay for a stay in jail the person. I'd be interested to see how fast people humiliated commit another crime against the speed at which people imprisoned commit another crime.
Go to jail may frighten some people, but it does not seem very effective in changing behavior. Often, it is worse.
He has an enormous effect on people.
Imagine having to wear a big red A on the front of your shirt ...
Imagine being held in a stockade in the middle of the town square all day .. while people can walk and move my shit to you ... yell at you, laugh at you ....
Imagine the thief, who, without their right hands, can never sit at a table eating and social with people ..
Humility has always been a form of punishment in one form or another ...
Our current system does not humiliate the criminals. For some, the time is with a badge of honor in the street.
Now imagine today ...
If every deadbeat, should have a sign on his car in front of his house, tell the world that does not support his children ..
If criminals see that you pick up trash on the roadside, signs on his back and tell us what they did ...
I have a friend who was caught downloading movies, etc., in his college dorm. He had to make signs and flyers to be on campus speaking out against downloading illegeal. He also have a leaflet that said what he did and why not do it, and had to stand outside the main area of joint distribution of the brochure for several days. This was in addition to fines imposed monitary judge.
"Tell me what you think? It is the humiliation of a good method to prevent crime? "
answer>>> Yes, but it must be serious enough to make almost go to jail rather than doing.

We approve of the punishment by humiliation if that is what the
Judge orders.

I said nothing or remits by Dr. Phil. There is a television talk first host and a second rate of shrinkage. He only cares about being in control and evaluation. (You should see the falls).
Repression by the humiliation does not work. It ticks people and puts them in a rage. Do not you think that going to jail for the average citizen is humiliating enough in itself?
It was a good show.
In some cases, it might work.
I think these are great ways to punish people. Our society seems to think it's wrong to be ashamed of anything. Shame and Hu.
