Immortal BelovedPoe, born in Boston, has been immortalized in Baltimore

That's what every writer's dream is to earn a living doing what he / she loves best, writing. Edgar Allen Poe, writer beloved Baltimore has done just that, although his first play was written and published anonymously. He was the brother of William and Rosalie Poe. Poe later adapt the full name Edgar Allen Poe, Allen took the name given by the family after his mother raise him in passing at a young age. Poe attended the University of Virginia, a school founded by Thomas Jefferson. Her visit to the university would not last long as vices such as gambling and drinking would catch up. Poe would blame her host family not to pursue his studies, arguing that they did not support it, but its dependencies were probably what did him in. On these charges he and the family moved away . Because of these dependencies, the disorder Poe would soon lose his wife, the beautiful Sarah Elmira Royster.


A series of concerts kept it a float for a while but not long enough and discouragement Poe became a soldier under the pseudonym Edgar A. Perry. His time in the United States Army have served as inspiration, as he published a collection of poems "Tamerlane and Other Poems." He was not credited for this collection, like Edgar Allen poem, which can be been a blessing in disguise, as it was a flop. It sold just over forty copies embarrassing. Poe has been staying in the service, but ultimately was not happy. It enlist the help of his adoptive father separated, who have not responded to the death of his wife finally allowed him to forgive Poe.


Try to find himself took refuge Poe in Baltimore with distant relatives. Bitter family quarrels eventually led to the end of any relationship with his father held Poe. Serve to West Point for a bit, before returning to Baltimore to attend to his dying brother. Maybe a broken heart caused Poe to dive into his writing, despite the troubles in the publishing field. Things began to look for Poe, as he had married his cousin Virginia Clemm much younger, in Baltimore. The "Southern Literary Messenger, stealing stands under his watch. Many publications and sign his writing he was able to each task. The months that followed, he resided in Maryland, Philadelphia and New York.


As his wife fell ill, he fell into the bottle again but still managed to find work there and the "crow" came to life. Despite the "Poe Raven's success" is a device in local bars in Baltimore. It was in a street in Baltimore that Poe was found drunk staggering, just before his death. He is buried in Baltimore at Westminster Presbyterian Church.


Although he was moving in his career, Baltimore seems to have embraced his legacy, and name their football team the Baltimore Ravens.
