Crossbow Versus longbow - the reasons for the ongoing debate Hunters have the option of using either the traditional bow or crossbow. But what has resulted in a controversy that rages. Users of the longbow were shouting themselves hoarse that the crossbow hunting style is much more advantageous, and unfair to a degree. And the debate continues!
Some statistical research has been conducted around the two styles of hunting, and the results proved to be incredible! According to figures from research -
(A gift) There were about a total of 155,000 fighters (those who are registered) during the season of bow hunting.
(B) The crossbow hunting style has been delivered to 70,000 participants.
(C) vertical arcs have served 55,000 hunters registered.
(D) Some hunters registered (30,000 of them) have used the vertical arc, but practiced style archery Cross too.
(E) among hunters Senior Citizen, while 4000 took up the crossbow, 1,000 preferred vertical arc. About 1,000 hunters used both. These citizens have received free licenses.
What do we understand the statistics above?
Although 55,000 registered users took the traditional bow or the vertical arc, there were 30,000 participants, among them, also went for the use of the crossbow as well. It is a fairly large number.
Come to the Senior Citizens, only about 1,000 members prefer to combine the vertical bow and crossbow. Most of them got started in the style of bow hunting Cross, leaving aside the traditional bow! Thus, even in advanced age hunters preferred the crossbow!
Through all the studies and statistics visible, it became clear that the results went in favor of users with a crossbow! It is not surprising that those fans feel happy!
Although the crossbow hunting style is more advantageous compared to the vertical bow hunting, but the benefit is actually tiny, almost negligible.
Again, another survey was conducted in Ohio to test the truth. But again, the favorable results crossbow users! According to statistics from the survey, while users longbow achieved a success rate of 21%, hunters crossbow slightly above 23%. It was again clear that there was a marginal difference in the success rate of traditional archery and crossbow hunting style.
Ultimately, statistical studies over a long period of time has proved conclusively that the harvest does not depend on the traditional bow or crossbow hunting style - it depends on the person possessing the weapon. Thus, the traditionalists have no reason to contine to their point of view narrow-minded and to insist on banning crossbows during the hunting season.
