Marketplace | Harry And Tonto What do you think is the worst performance by an actor in a leading role to win an Oscar? Some, perhaps to consider: Sean Penn in Milk Jamie Foxx in Ray Denzel Washington in Training Day Russel Crowe in Gladiator Tom Hanks Forrest Gump Adrien Brody in The Pianist Geoffery peak brightness Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man John Wayne in True Grit Cliff Robertson in Charly Lee Marvin in Cat Ballou Al Pacino in the scent of a woman Roberto Benigni Life is beautiful Art Carney in Harry and Tonto James Stewart in The Philadelphia Story Many of these performances na deserve an Oscar, but the worst for me has gots ta be Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump followed by Sean Penn in Milk. Russell Crowe wasn't so great either. Al Pacino. It is a much better job in advance (Dog Day Afternoon) and I felt it was just screaming across the top

Lee Marvin James Stewart Cliff Robertson Hanks John Wayne in True Grit - a price that was because they liked the guy and approved of the way many entertaining films he had done. performance was not really different from anything he had done. Sean Penn in Milk I think he did a good job, but Mickey Rourke deserved Oscar for The Wrestler. Posted on June 10, 2010.
