Marketplace | Hard Day's Night, A Beatles: Hard Days Night Album Review of Many people think of The Beatles classic film when they hear "A Hard Day's Night", but the soundtrack of the same name was a big step forward in songwriting group. Their first two albums included only 8 original songs each (with 6 seats) and a number of these originals are not particularly good. A Hard Day's Night was all originals (does not) and for the most part, these songs have been a considerable improvement over their previous original.
Since the first agreement distinctive "A Hard Day's Night" from the album has its own special feeling. high energy and classical writing. This album is filled with brilliant singles like the title track above that leads from the album "Can not Buy Me Love" with beautiful ballads like "If I Fell" and "And I Love Her".
Of course there are some not so great songs on the album. In particular, I've never been a fan of "When I Get Home," which sounds like a throwaway to me. I'm not a big fan of "I Should Have Known Better" and "I'm Happy Just to Dance With You" or, but both have their charms.
One of my favorite songs on the same album is "Things We Said Today" which comes from the perfect ambience of its own. Great acoustic strumming with an irresistible melody McCartney. Maybe my favorite part of the song is when he goes back to the word "sufficient". Largely because of these smart little bit of the song that their songs still valid so fresh, even 40 years later.
"I'll Cry Instead" is another of my favorites. It has a sort of her country for the false and I do not normally enter the country songs of the Beatles true. But it and "I've Just Seen a Face" (help!) Are two notable exceptions. I love to sing Lennon on it. It is a very catchy melody and while the lyrics are a bit ridiculous, they somehow all the work.
The album ends strongly with "You Can not Do That" and "I'll Be Back." Both are songs that I have not had much of a first for some reason, but I like a bit now.
If you're mainly a fan of the Beatles music later, it can sometimes be difficult to achieve in their work earlier. But if you have an open mind and understand the context of the time, I think you can appreciate the brilliant tunes included on A Hard Day's Night.
A little info you might find interesting is that A Hard Day's Night is the only Beatles album that includes only Lennon / McCartney originals. Why? Well, because that is the only early album that does not include covers. While many of their later albums are all originals, and, at the time George Harrison has contributed at least one song for each album. For example, every song on Sgt. Pepper is a Lennon / McCartney original except for Harrison "Within You Without You".
There is no doubt that the Beatles made a giant step in 1964 with Art A Hard Day's Night. Of course, we now know that this is only the beginning of many strides Beatles take throughout the 1960s.
