Hannibal Rising? I havent seen the film,
and I know they have some books,
What books should i start with?
or should i just start reading Hannibal
and Hannibal Rising.
or get red dragon (or the silence of the lambs)
"Red Dragon" introduced readers to Hannibal Lector. It is a very minor character in the book. As you read "The Silence of the Lambs." Hannibal is always a secondary character, but you get more details about him. Let them come "Hannibal" and "Hannibal Rising". I thought "Hannibal Rising" is a good book, but he believed he could give more details. Silence 'Red Dragon' and 'lambs' are far superior to "Hannibal" and "Hannibal Rising".
The Red Dragon was the first written with the character Hannibal Lecter, followed by The Silence of the Lambs. Hannibal Rising is the latest. I think the first two are good reads if you like crime, psychological thriller. The latest is just trite and seemed to be an attempt by the author just put out trash, expecting people to buy or read it in search of writing as well as found in the first two ... my opinion.
Hannibal Rising
Red Dragon
The silence of the lambs
Hannibal
The story begins with "Hannibal Rising" and "Red Dragon", "Silence of the Lambs, and ending with" Hannibal ".
Unless you want out of the starting order of "Hannibal Rising", it explains many things for which there is the way it is, but in fact it was more about revenge killing rather than the beginning of a serial killer.
I am not sure of the order of books really, you can see the people he has been based on real life on this site: www.crimelibrary.com
I have not read the books either, so you can take someone else advice on which one first or just start with the one you think is most interesting then read the rest at a later date
