Many visitors spend the night in a city like Sedona, Arizona, where the beautiful red rock will amaze you. If you choose to drive to Phoenix, Arizona, metropolitan area, the plan of approximately 4.5 hours travel time to get to the Grand Canyon.
If you decide to stay in Flagstaff before visiting the Grand Canyon National Park is about 80 miles away, which should take about an hour and a half to drive. If you stay in Sedona, Canyon is about two hours away.
Grand Canyon National Park offers a free shuttle to the south shore of Grand Canyon Village, along the lonely road. Note that these shuttles provide transportation and are not considered as coaches. (Travel by bus are available, however.)
You are required to leave the bus to see the Canyon. Also note that if you have physical difficulties, most shuttles are wheelchair accessible.

4. Take a helicopter or a tour inside the Canyon mule. You will find several companies that will give you a bird's-eye view inside the Canyon.
The Grand Canyon Skywalk is the gateway to the suspension of more than 4,000 feet above the canyon. It extends 70 feet from the edge and is Grand Canyon West's Eagle Point.
