Marketplace | Fifth Element, The The Fifth Element I usually like really serious and deep, a lot more movies than others. Surprisingly, the films actions take my fancy from time to time, and Bruce Willis star in the usually more entertaining of the lot. "The Fifth Element" was a great action / science fiction that I enjoyed and was able to cram a cute message for good measure.
In 1914, in a ruined temple in Egypt, an archaeologist and a priest discovered ancient writings describing the arrival of a grand mal every five millennia. The excavation is interrupted by the arrival of foreign giant called Mondoshawan. The Mondoshawan enter the temple and removed four stones corresponding to the four elements (water, fire, earth and air) from a hidden crypt inside the temple. They hide the stones until the big bad happens. They instruct the priest at the temple and the preservation of knowledge through the generations and the promise to return with all the stones and the fifth element necessary to protect the world at that time.
In the year 2263, a Federal Space Marine fleet is swallowed by an eclipse of the planet, giving rise to the great evil that has been predicted by Mondoshawan. As they promised, the Mondoshawan came to earth to return the stones to stop the great evil. However, during their voyage, the ship is shot down by Mondoshawan an alien warrior race called Mangalore. From the wreckage, scientists recovered a fragment of one of Mondoshawan with cells several. From the cloned fragment that Leeloo Minai Lekarariba-Lamin-Chai De Sebat Ekbat (played by the beautiful Milla Jovovich), a supreme being. Leeloo escapes the laboratory and dives into a taxi driven by Korben Dallas from (Bruce Willis), a former major of the Army Special Forces of Federated. Korben and Leeloo brings an unconscious Priest Vito Cornelius.
The answer Mangalore Zorg (Gary Oldman), a wealthy industrialist who ordered the assault on the ship Mondoshawan. Zorg proposes to give weapons to Mangalore in exchange for the stones inside the case of recovery of the ship crashed Mondoshawan. Unfortunately for Zorg, Mangalore and that it eventually kills, the case of ship Mondoshawan is empty.
Meanwhile, at the apartment of Corneille, Leeloo reveals that the stones are actually protected by the famous opera singer Diva Plavalaguna (Ma? Wenn Le Besco), who must respond Leeloo and is the fifth element necessary for save the world of great evil.
The Galactic President learns about the stones and the Diva and return projects in Dallas, Federated Army to retrieve the stones. Dallas is sent to Fhloston Paradise, a coating of the space where the Diva will be performing as a contest winner. Leeloo Dallas and go to heaven, where Fhloston hell breaks loose when running the evening of the Diva.
To save the world, Leeloo must take the four stones and herself to the ancient temple. When they finally arrive at the temple, physically and emotionally wounded Leeloo questions the validity of the protection of life is not worth protecting. She hesitates to give the Divine Light needed to complete the process, fearing that humans will inevitably destroy itself. As it turns out, the fifth element, necessary to save the world and protect it against the great evil, is love.
Everything just goes to show that in the past hundreds of years, we humans have been destroying ourselves in many ways and life because life is good, but for love that we share. So save the world, spread the Divine Light, from love. Posted on June 23, 2010.
