Expect No Mercy

Expect No MercyMercy for us depends on the Mercy, we show

The Bible is full of examples where the Lord has mercy on us, wiping our sins and make us whole. Matthew 6:22 p.m. said: "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy times seven", which was Christ's answer to Peter when he asked how many times must I forgive my brother . However, immediately after this verse, Christ said a dish I've ever heard discussed in church. It is quite long, so I'll summarize, but encourage you to take your Bible and read verses 23-35 Matthew 18.

Remember, this is a parable of Christ's coming and is a teacher, he will be merciful to us that if we show mercy to others. In this parable, a servant who has a debt to his master was brought before the master. When he could not repay the debt, he pleaded for mercy and the master gave him mercy, cancellation of debt. It is very similar to the mercy of Christ for us. However, when another servant who owed a debt to the officer who was shown mercy could not pay, he showed no mercy. When the captain heard that after he had shown mercy to the household, the same servant refused mercy to the other, he became angry. The master returned he had shown mercy to his servant, he was thrown into prison and tortured until he pays his debt. The master was not only disappointed, but he had the servant evil punished.

However, it is a parable told by Jesus Christ and he does not specify exactly what the meaning of it is, if you need to read and decide for yourself what Christ tells us. Here is my understanding. I believe the Lord merciful to us and bless us, but then expects action on our part by showing love to others as he has for us. It is clear to me that the Lord taketh his blessings if we do not act on what we demand. Again, the Lord is merciful and loving, but he expects that the mercy and love in our actions as well. The Lord is loving and merciful, but can not be walked on or taken advantage of.

Now, as hard as it may seem, remember verse 22, which is quoted above. God's love is so great, he is willing to forgive again and again that you try to grow in your understanding of his teachings. There are serious consequences for those who turn their backs on the Lord, but the Lord does not give up so quickly. You will be judged by the content of your heart and the commitment you have for the Lord. He is not sitting there waiting for you in the mess for him to take back what he gave you.

But how can you ignore a story or parable like this? God works with us, forgive us, give us, but we have a responsibility to do his will and follow what it tells us to do. We must understand that God expects from us, and we are held accountable for our actions, good or bad. Therefore, study your Bible, to understand what he says and then do it.
