Dream No Evil

Dream No EvilIs Descartes & Evil Dream Deceiver solid arguments?

Are there holes in his arguments?

(Looking for an explanation to the discussion, not just yes or no.)

Thank you =)

Bonjour

Yes, they are almost completely airtight ... unless he makes a leap in logic. I'll go through them in a hack way, I hope you do not mind.

Ok ... So how do I know all I see is real? I know I'm here I doubt ... even though all I know is a lie ... so I know I'm still here have lied.

Whew, ok now somewhere in the second meditation he just said that everything we know comes to our mind indirectly ... ie the world through our senses to our minds ... so who knows if they are true or not, but we know that we perceive.

mediation third all ideas have much reality for them that our idea of the ... there he begins to make that leap in logic. Ok then unicorns are not real because we are a combination of a horse and a horn, but God is real because if he sees God as a perfect ... there must be at least as much if not more reality in God. Just as 2 +2 = 4 ... an idea of what he perceives "clearly and distinctly" must be correct.

there is a second argument that pretty much said the same thing, but considering where it comes ... he could not himself created, it has not always existed ... he could not be simply because of its patents infinite regress and it would have been less perfect, because he has an idea of a perfect ... ergo. God exists.

So, roughly, it uses a lot of logic right there until the end.

I hope this helps

Rev. Phil

Yeah.

The assumption that God can not be a sadist seems a bit farfetched.

Yes, the concepts that we can not be sure that we are not dreaming, nor in the clutches of a scientist "evil" are unassailable. We are stuck with them, they are doubts, we have not yet been able to eliminate.

Some additional points on "Mr. Ed"

Descartes did not sufficiently consider the argument that it can be an automaton, controlled and programmed to "feel real", by ED. The other option of hypnosis, ie at t1 hypnotizes himself to develop a second personality to T2, Rened Descartes, and forget his car before programming is similar. When the air "social" level and type of "hypnosis", this is akin to Plato's cave, people, Bacon's "idols" and Buddhists "conditioning".

These opportunities to reduce its other arguments "and thinking" nothing, as it has no point "archemedian self" on which to stand, and its definition of God as "perfect" is not demonstrated . Edmund Husserl, in his work, has shown to be both pure self and God like rays of light, sound and satisfaction of students able to "self. Husserl learned and progressed beyond Cartesian pose, showing up 'in a spirit of Plotinus Soul-individuation.

"A Philosophy of Universality," OM Occident, has put a transcendental approach to issues. Descartes in his night of dreams and visions, touches the Husserlian and levels of gnosis Plotinus and awareness, however, demonstrate these in his consciousness outside intelligence was more a theory of praxis for him - and thus, the famous "dualism" of mind and body ~ aka Greek psyche and physis, which clearly included the latter formulation Godman (Plotinus) and smart or numinous Mater, material, in a sort of a process unit Mind Soul (with an erroneous distortion energy is a light-veiled, e-veiled eviling).
