Dream For An Insomniac

Dream For An InsomniacA Are you an Insomniac
At one time or another in our lives, almost everyone will have difficulties with their sleep. The causes can vary widely from a physical problem such as toothache or a sore back, or nervous anticipation about an event approaches, such as giving a presentation, or travel. Or it may just be something beyond your control, like a noisy neighbor.

Insomnia can take many forms. Some people have a solid eight hours of sleep, tired but still awake and restless. Others may not be able to sleep for several hours and just lie there tossing and turning trying to fall asleep and make their insomnia worse. And others will fall asleep quickly and wake up an hour or two later and be unable to refile. The variations in the types of insomnia are enormous and are often unique to the particular individual.

Everyone has a natural ability to have a regular, deep sleep, long and healthy. Fair sleep problems are caused by a disruption of this natural cycle, and the creation of a new perturbed model.

Not everyone needs the same amount of sleep, in fact, it varies considerably from individual to individual. Some people may need only five or six hours, while others may need eight or nine. The important thing is not the length of time sleeping, but the quality of sleep you get. If you wake up completely refreshed and rejuvenated, you're getting enough sleep.

Sleeping pills and medications can help you get through a temporary difficulty sleeping, but prescription drugs can sometimes worsen your insomnia. Also sleeping pills are not always the quality of sleep that your body and mind requires. The drugs can inhibit REM sleep. REM stands for "rapid eye movement" and it is during REM sleep that we dream. A reduction in rapid eye movement sleep has been associated with anxiety, irritability and short tempers.

If you have problems with your sleep, so there is a problem with your programming habits that crept into your mind. Your mind is like a computer and when you learn to do something, any new skill, it is stored in your unconscious. It is a habit, and insomnia problems are due to a bad habit you have formed.

Therefore, the secret to cure your insomnia is to form a new habit of healthy and natural sleep. And this is where hypnotherapy can help. Hypnosis bypasses your conscious mind and allows you (you, not the hypnotherapist) to reprogram your subconscious.

So that hypnosis is based on relaxing the body and mind, learning this skill alone can help many people overcome their sleep problems. As you learn and practice self-hypnosis sleep will gradually return to a healthy state and natural and your health and your mood improves!
