Old Testament

Chapter 49 in the Old Testament is Genesis (49), it is composed of 33 verses. The Middle verse is that number 17

He said:

Genesis 49:17 (King James Version)

17] Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse's heels, so that his rider falls backward.

This meaning of the verse:

The serpent is first mentioned in connection with the story of the temptation and fall of our first parents Adam and Eve (Genesis 3). It has been well noted about this temptation: "A real serpent was the agent of temptation, as we see what is called the natural characteristic of the serpent in the first verse of the chapter (3:1) and the curse of leading the snake itself. However, the serpent in the story of Adam "was a symbol of Satan. It follows that the snake is an animal hated, which is a symbol of Satan and was cursed by God.

On the other hand, the prophecy of Jacob in Genesis 49:17 says that Dan will be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that bites the horse's heels so that his rider falls backward.

Note: Dan is one of the twelve tribes of Israel!

In the verse, the Lord Jesus knew that man faith. He said: Man, thy sins are forgiven.

The scribes and Pharisees, the Jewish leaders who sought to make trouble with the Lord Jesus said: Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?

The interpretation of this verse from the Islamic point of view:

Both parties were correct. The Lord Jesus was right when he says that because he sees the light of God was the result of this man.

The scribes and Pharisees were correct because nobody can forgive sins but God alone.

Note: Muhammad used to say that this man will be the eternal gardens and the result of this man will be the eternal fire.

Muhammad, Jesus and thus were seen by the light of Allah by their prophet Hood
