How do i train my lab jar crazy??? We got it for about three years and until now it has been 6 outdoor 'by 12' Run (more or less). We tried electric fence with him and whatever the voltage is high, it runs out, as nothing had happened. Now, we try him in the house and I want to know what is the best way to train a lab really HYPER?
How often do you exercise your lab?
* Your dog is a working breed, and this breed is used for a lot of exercise!
If you want your dog to calm down, then you will need for her daily exercise, at least one hour of walking and other activities to stimulate and drain his energy level.
** I suggest you also subscribe to an obedience class, because I do not anticipate a slowdown any time soon.
* The classes are for both of you dog. Him to socialize and learn obedience, you learn about it and how to meet their needs, and keep it under control.
6x12 * A race is not enough room for a dog run, exercise or live in on a daily basis.
** Dogs are like people, need an outlet, and if you do not provide one, such as walking and activities such as agility, recovery or speedball competitions, then create one that fits its needs. It also needs socialization, and dog classes and activities are good ways to socialize.
* They are beasts of burden, and leadership necessary that you do not provide it, and it is now the leader. It is obvious that he fled, does not mean that his own decision and listenning.
Learn to master walking daily, draining his energy and his association with him during the walk. always have, drain his energy, before handling or training. It relaxes and opens its mind to these sessions, which makes your session more enjoyable and positive experience.
** The control of walking means that you are the leader and the head moving forward, the dog is walking beside or behind you. NOT you slip into the street.
* Use an appropriate collar or lead. DO NOT use a harness or other suitable tool. leader to speak to someone in a pet store to help with this look, because a string loop, (proper use), soft, or visit the website for Cesar Milan Illusion collar by Cesar Milan. * Very good tool.but tools used incorrectly will not have the desired effect. and is as good as the person using it.
* While walking, do not stop for anything other than pee or poop. no shrubs, trees, fire hydrants or other dogs, just walk briskly, and for one hour. This drain his energy, and relax. This also works his mind, and drains his frustration, aggression, and other concerns he has put in place that day.
You'll find it a little quieter and easier to train.
As for potty training, firm and consistent is the best. Always remove and look and listen for signs that he needs to get out. Remember, he can not speak, but he will try his best to let you know it must go, or moaning, going to the door, looking impatient, or urgency.
after eating, drinking water, or at least every 2-3 hours, walk him outside, or let him out. if he will run away, or if you think it is, then let him, and walk until it goes away, and then reward, reward him for doing so.
NEVER yell or hit. this only make him afraid of you, and, therefore, will never respect.

Good Luck!
The best way to do is put on a feeding schedule, and take it very often outside, give him lots of praise when he goes outside. Do not punish him if he goes inside, since he knows he is supposed to go "where" because that's what he always did, living outside. Be very patient, it may take some time. Congratulations to let him join your family inside.
