Big Bird Cage, The

Big Bird Cage, TheI would like a large bird cage, but I do not want to pay the price of a large bird cage?

I have a couple of canaries and parakeets, I want to group them all into a large cage. However, I do WAN pay $ 300 + for a large cage. Any ideas on what I can use? How about a ferret cage? Anyone who has tried this before? Any ideas or opinions?

You will not be able to house of canaries and parakeets in the same cage. Parakeets kill canaries. You can house each species separately in a large cage well. A ferret cage bar spacing should moderate to large, the birds would be able to simply come and go as they please. If you can find something with the space bar and small enough to put in place properly and this is not necessarily a specific bird cage that's OK as long as it is safe.

Look online on eBay, Craigslist, Freecycle, and various online stores for birds clearance items. You can also sometimes go to pet stores and find discount cages (those who might have one leg bent during transport or something), used cages, so check your local newspaper, and sometimes garage sales, you can find decent supplies.

Try eBay, good things for low prices, I love

Check local listings classfied and see if someone is a slling there second-hand/opt stores near you that you never know what comes in them, or you can advertise for you in classifeid desired section or try eBay

I would stay with bird cages ... there are cheap on www.PetSmart.com

yeah a ferret cage would work. They are about $ 100 on sale at Petco. Just make sure that the canaries and parakeets agree first =] (oh and take the shelves ... the ferret cage. Ebay is a good idea.)

I hope I helped

I'd say you try to search for some cages on eBay or Craigslist.

However, I would also suggest you clean the cage if you get it.

Another thing you can do is look around online at various websites for some cages.

If you are looking for a site that sells bird supplies, you can try using the link below.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

Not sure, but I wanted to say be careful regarding the bars. Small birds in particular, ensure that bars are not too far apart, you do not want them trying to stick their head (or body) through and somehow trapped or injured. My sister ferrets and the cage she had, the bars are not suitable for all birds. So I think the direction of bars can be different for the cages for other animals.

I would just continue to watch for sales, watching the paper for anyone who sells a decent cheaper. Could Look on eBay if the port can be horrible. But if you got cheap, as the shipping, you can still only pay a fraction of the cost store.

You can not home parakeets and canaries in the same cage, the parrot will attack the canaries. Ebay cages at a lower price.

Try Ebay. Or you can build your own cage out of wood and other things. Just find someone to help you build on the back or in the house.
Good luck ............

EBAY helps a lot I am a very big cage for about 150.00
