Why not theistic understanding that God can not be null? I looked at the experience as "atheist" this weekend and they had a caller who has presented evidence that called the Bible. Basically, he claimed there was confirmation of the Genesis story of the Bible in Chinese characters (I will not go into details here, it is not worth typing). The hosts of the program gave three possible explanations for the "proof" ...
1 - The elements of the story of Genesis is in China with simpler methods (for traders, etc.), which represent the similarity
2 - The similarity is a subjective interpretation, for example, we can look at clouds and see "things, but our ability to see these" things "in the cloud does not mean he is really there.
3 - God did.
And then they asked the caller, which explanations were most and least likely. The caller said, "I think the explanation involving God is the explanation by default.
This response struck me. It is 100% completely wrong. Why not see a position that Christians in support of God is a positive claim, and therefore can not be null, for example, the default value. (The hosts had a good example, if you believe "you are a millionaire, you must prove you have money before you go buy a yacht.) Many Christians use this fallacy ...
*... All - Evolution can not explain * so that the Bible must be right
- You can not prove there is no god ... So there must be a
- I was in an accident today, but are not dead ... then God must of saved me
- Etc.
Is this what makes someone an atheist or theist? Whether or not they understand this simple concept and logic? (Note, this is certainly not limited to Christians, believers in most religions, alternative medicine, lights, etc. all suffer the same lack of understanding.)
I think some theists (only a few) are very intelligent and have a good grasp of logic, they just tend to turn these skills when they think about their faith. Its what they want to believe, and if they do, not only using the elements as they see it, they believe in spite of all evidence.
That said, I really wish that the average person was a little smarter and I wish every child in every school had to learn about logical fallacies and how to think for themselves. I can not imagine anything being more important, really.
custom logic wrong you save ... superntural people cannot be touched or seen if you need to repent and change your attitude. Otherwise, you stay lost ... do not try to tell everyone what they think ... you are the person who does not understand the most important things ..
What what what what? Therefore.
I will not defend them, but you are certainly wrong. This is not a positive explanation and it is by default.
The establishment of the First Cause, the Necessary Being and everything is as safe as anything can be. And only secondarily "God" and that, by convention, as you know. Just Google the words "and that all men call God."
I think this is consistent with the increase, scarily growing superstition, anti-theists!

"What Americans really believe," a comprehensive new study released by Baylor University yesterday, shows that traditional Christian religion greatly decreases belief in everything from the efficacy of palm readers to the usefulness of the astrology. It also shows that the irreligious and the members of more liberal Protestant denominations, far from being resistant to superstition, tend to be much more inclined to believe in the paranormal and pseudoscience than evangelical Christians.
